about the initiative

If you knew Matt, you know that his love for life was inspiring, and his desire to be great was at the center of his being. He lived for his family (friends that were family too), and had the rare gift of making everyone around him feel special. Marking one long year since the world lost a bright light, we want to honor Matt, and feel in a way that he would have asked for this - to help others in his memory. We created nothin' left to do to continue bringing smiles to others in all the ways Matt would.

Back in 2021, Matt designed the nltd smile art to honor his parents with his favorite Grateful Dead lyric. The smile turned into [the art] behind a smile, a collection illustrating the realities of life behind our smiles. The smiles have been brightening up the days of those who need it most - from bringing joy to kids with Make A Wish, to energizing spaces full of people you'd never know needed a smile.

All proceeds from the nltd art will go towards building smile [art] walls in children's cancer wards in Matt's memory. And, if you have a space that could use some smiles, please reach out for more info.
